Hi students and parents,
Thanks to all who made it to the dress rehearsal today.
May is a very busy month for everyone and I appreciate you efforts to attend these rehearsals!
Some of the tunes were either rusty from lack of review or weak due to the reliance on more advanced students who weren’t present today.
Remember that the group as a whole is only as good as each individual member!
Please review all of your tunes this week and I will be checking everyone in their lessons as well.
Brandon’s Mom will not be able to play for our performance at St. Georges Village, so we will have another accompanist working with us next Friday.
If everyone arrives by 4:30, we should be able to finish around 6:00.
The master classes with Lauren will take place on Thursday May 30th and Friday May 31st at the following times:
Thursday May 30th Group 3 (Luke Federer, Christopher Sims, Caty Cleary, Joshua Davis, and Dr. Meyer Perlstein) 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Friday May 31st Group 1 (Will Federer, Jackson Murphy, and Brandon Lee) 10:45 am – 12:00 noon
Noon to 1:00 lunch break
Group 2 (Katherine Kim, Alea Hornsby, Caroline Burke, Alexandra Murphy, and Katherine Murphy) 1:00 – 3:00
Group 4 (Grace Motahari, Emma Federer, Gabriella Davis, and Jesse Pilz) 3:15 – 5:15
Everyone should be prepared to play one of your most recent Suzuki pieces for Lauren.
It doesn’t have to be recital polished ready, but should not be the piece you just started and only know the 1st section either.
Please ask me for guidance as to what I think would be most helpful for you to play.
This master class will count as one of your 8 summer lessons and I am taking requests for dates and times for summer lessons either at one of your next lessons or via e-mail.
Thanks…Katherine
