Hi parents and students,
Congratulations to the following students for making the Beethoven Chamber Orchestra! Congratulations to Caty Cleary for winning a full scholarship to attend a week long camp in the N.C. mountains for Irish Fiddling! It looks like we have enough students to commit to the December early evening performance at St. Jude, so please add that to your calendar. Group lessons are this Friday. Please bring your holiday music in order and arrive promptly and quietly so we can maximize our rehearsal time! The Georgia Philharmonic will present "A Night at the Movies" on Saturday October12th at The Roswell Cultural Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. We will perform music from TheTitanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park, Gladiator, and The Lord of the Rings. This will be a fun concert that young children to adults will enjoy. I hope you will come out to support us! Tickets can be purchased online. Hi students and parents,
I finally heard back from the Huntcliff Summit director and they would like us to perform our holiday concert this year on Wed. Dec. 18th at 7:30. Please put this date on your calendars and let me know of any conflicts right away. I am willing to contact the director at St. Georges Village for a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday performance if enough students are interested. If not, we will try to perform there again in the spring. Please let me know as to your ability to commit. I will be handing out holiday music this week at your lessons and or group . Some of the tunes are repeats. so I will ask you to look through your libraries of past music to avoid my copying extras. You will be responsible for copying Suzuki review pieces that are not committed to memory. Please put your music in the following order once you receive it. French Folk Song (repeat) La Folia Variations (bk.6) Long, Long Ago & Variation (key of G) (bk. 2) O Come Little Children (bk.1) Minuet by Boccherini (bk.2) Hatikvah round Bach Double 2nd mvt. I will also be sending out another file with helpful tips and a music dictionary. Thanks….Katherine
Hi parents,
Please ignore if you already got both files, but some parents have said they only got one of them. Group 2 should copy the interval page and Double Stop Twinkle to bring to group this Friday. Remember that this week's group is from 4:30 - 6:00 for both groups as Lauren and I are team teaching! Hi students and parents,
Please see the attached group schedule, fees, expectations, etc. Please read all pages even if you have read it before. Every year I have parents ask questions that are explained in detail in my policies about practice and listening expectations, make-up lessons, etc. Thanks…..Katherine Hi students and parents,
Please confirm the schedule below for the week of July 22 - 26 and let me know if you would like to be added to the schedule. Please check to see if you have made your July payments as August is around the corner. Finally. please let me know what days and times you are available for lessons this year if you haven't already done so. A good number of my students are moving up to middle school or high school this year so please understand that lesson times for these students will need to be a little later this year. It would be helpful for me to know what the earliest time each student can make it to Friday group lessons and for those of you who attend private schools to send me a school calendar to help me plan. I have calendars for Fulton and Cobb County. Luke Federer has built me a very cool web-site! I am working on updating the information and video, but in the future you will be able to get updated calendars, studio policies, articles of interest, etc. at huntclifffiddlers.weebly.com Thanks Luke!!! As a reminder, I will be out of town the week of July 29th and fall semester begins the week of August 12th.
